I tyhought I read once that you aren't expected to tip if they own the salon. My stylist recently bought her own salon and although I've always tipped her 10-15% I didn't know if I'll still be expected to especially if she increases her prices.Do you tip your hairdresser if she is the owner of the salon and your paying $90 for cut and color in Kansas?
It is not customary to tip the owner, only employees. I tried to tip the owner of my facial salon and she refused the tip, so I guess that is the industry standard.Do you tip your hairdresser if she is the owner of the salon and your paying $90 for cut and color in Kansas?
Tipping is a decision left to the client. If your stylist opened her own salon and raised her prices it doesn't mean she gets paid the most. Remember, she owns the salon which means she has more of an overhead now. Salon owners typically have higher prices than the stylists in the salon... 1) Because of the prestige of being the owner and most importantly 2) The owner has more bills to pay now.
Tipping is never required, but it is ALWAYS appreciated.
always tip a stylist if you want to go back.
they work in a service industry which means they should get tipped.
well if she incress her prices then dont tip her but if they are not high then still keep tiping her and the reasion she probly got her own salon is because she is getting paid the best and eneff to open her own salon. so just keep tiping her and you will be her best cosmter. that is just what i think. see ya!! (good luck)!!!!!!!!!
You tip your hairdresser NO MATTER WHAT (unless they do a bad job)!!! If you're willing to drop $90.00 to get your hair done then you should be willing to tip her for her work.
its courtesy to tip.
